This is honestly a beautiful piece. The detail on the fur is exemplary, especially around the neck and tail. The shading and highlights look correct as far as I can tell, and the backdrop gives it a nice outdoors feel. The way the arm and hand are resting on the leg, however, looks a little stiff, as though the character is holding out the arm in front of the leg. The tail is unnaturally stiff as well, throwing off the characters more relaxed pose. The pose itself however, looks nice and quite original.

The backdrop, on the other hand, looks like it was drawn in after the character had already been colored and shaded. This makes the characters position on the rock a little awkward. The prairie grass below the character seems to be growing in odd light and dark patches, and the green grass also seems to share this patchy configuration. I'm not quite sure if the patches were intentional or not. The rocky mountain to the left of her looks fairly nice, though on one side it ends in a rather flat edge. The rocks to the left of her look a bit sketchy, and could use some more detail. The bright blue sky looks absolutely lovely, and the white clouds suggest a bright clear day.

Overall the piece is very nice, and is certainly worth some praise. The details in the character are lovely, and it has a wonderful realistic feel.
